Leaving a Legacy of Faith

Many of our parishioners have already left us a legacy of faith by contributing to the contruction of the church building to serve the faith needs of this community now and for many generations to come. Likewise, many people have also contributed to the sacred art in the church which educates and inspires us. You, too, can leave a legacy of faith when memorial opportunities arise. There will always be something that the parish needs as the parish continues to grow. Stay tuned here as we present those ideas to you.

St Clare of Assisi Roman Catholic Parish is a charitable institution, listed as a subordinate organization under the USCCB Group Ruling (GEN: 0928) which is specified in the annual Group Ruling determination letter issued by the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops ("USCCB") by the Internal Revenue Service ("IRS"), the most recent of which is dated October 24, 2018, with respect to the federal tax status of subordinate organizations listed in the 2018 edition of the Official Catholic Directory ("OC"). This 2018 Group Ruling determination letter is important for establishing:

Memorial Gift Opportunities:

We currently do not have a list of items, but we will post them here when we have something to ask of you. The only memorials currently are through the Knights of Columbus Council at St. Clare for the Prayer Garden shown below.

Prayer Garden to Honor the Unborn

We encourage you to show your witness to the sanctity of life of all children who died in the womb by miscarriage or through an abortion. We have started our prayer garden and are expanding it as bricks are sponsored. Please see the details on the downloadable form. The inscriptions need to be brief and to make reference to the purpose of this memorial which is to honor deceased children. As Catholic Christians our hope is in the Lord who made heaven and earth all creatures and who takes the holy souls to heaven. The souls of the children live on. They do not become angels, but rather are joined to the communion of saints and now share in the eternal joys of all faithful departed souls. They do not need our prayers, but we pray for the parents, grandparents and others who carry the grief of having lost a dear little child before they ever had the chance to know the child. We pray also for those who sadly chose to end the life of an unborn child or to terminate their pregnancy. We hope our small prayer garden will bring solace to those who need our love and support. Prayer Bricks for the Unborn Request Form (PDF)
