Solo Group

We are a community of people who spent most of their adult lives as married couples, or single persons. We are all single due to the loss of a spouse, divorce, or are single by choice. Now we are alone, at a point in our lives where friendship is very important.

We have formed a social group to share our interests and learning how to handle those things our spouse or friends did best for us, and gain a social relationship with others in a faith-based group.

We have fears of being alone at certain times. During illness, accidents, weekends, and holidays. We may or may not have relatives coming in and out of our lives, but we do not have someone who can be there for us each and every day.

Therefore, our purpose is to provide friendships and relationships to bridge the gap brought by the loss we faced of our spouse or friends.

We are a social and spiritual support group. We share interests, activities, friendships, travel together, and jointly plan new activities.  We provide regular meeting locations to share ideas and to socialize. We arrange dinning parties, luncheons, trips and plays or theatre trips. Your input will be how we set up and share these activities. The group usually goes out to dinner after the meeting; however,  in the winter months when it gets dark early, they go out to eat before the meeting.

What we are not:

We are not a “Singles Club.”
We are not a place to tell everyone our problems.
We are not a plalce to air our complaints about life.
We are not a bereavement group.
We are not a therapy session.
